Zahnia is a UX designer by day and farm entrepreneur by night in the Toronto area. She has spent the last 10 years designing software for big companies and start ups. Along the way she met Nicholas, and they have been inseparable ever since. Her love of design and environment converged years later in 2019 when Nicholas started growing microgreens, she started experimenting with growing vegetables on their tiny apartment patio as a way to process the grief of the loss of her uncle who taught her how to grow vegetables in her teen years. She graduated with an honours bachelor's degree in Interaction Design. By 2025, she and Nicholas opened up their first commercial farm in Burlington, ON.
